Water does not fall straight down. It runs along decking and rafters and shows up on a ceiling well away from where it got in, which is why so many repairs fail: the wrong spot got fixed. We start in the attic where we can get to it, follow the staining back to the entry point, then confirm from the roof. Expect forty-five minutes to an hour.
